The Career Direction Programme

Most programmes are conducted over a period of 10 days - 6 months depending on the level of one-to-one consultancy support needed. Each programme will deliver a clear career strategy which utilises and enhances both personal strengths and aspirations, and includes:

  • Tailored psychometric testing
  • Structured assessment homework 
  • Participative feedback
  • A comprehensive assessment of all possible future career directions carried out upon completion.

THE CAREER DIRECTION PROGRAMME

Who would benefit most? 

  • Individuals re-assessing their needs and wants for the remainder of their career. 

You may be taking a proactive approach and wanting to plan ahead for the future. Or have a growing feeling of dissatisfaction with your existing career. Whatever your reason, you need greater clarity of your options.

Our Career Direction Programme contains four stages:

Stage 1: Career Assessment 

A series of comprehensive questionnaires and tests enable us to develop your own personality profile.
This identifies the underlying patterns and preferences that exist for you in different jobs and activities, to determine what you need to have in a job or career to make it truly satisfying. Plus we look at where you currently are in relation to this.

Stage 2: Analysis and Diagnostic Feedback

By combining your personal profile with career successes and interests, we identify your career goals. These become the focal points for a confidential one-on-one discussion with one of our trained counsellors.

Stage 3: Clarify Your Career Options

Our consultants will review your test results, profile feedback and discuss different possibilities taking into account your age, previous experience, financial situation, family commitments and your employment situation.

Stage 4: Career Coaching

Lastly we look at how best to take you forward to meet your chosen career goal. By taking into consideration how quickly you want this change to take place, we develop an easy to follow step-by-step action plan. Giving you measurable criteria to help track your progress to the career future you deserve.

Your action plan will highlight:

  • How and where to focus your energies, efforts and ambitions
  • Which career level best suits your experience and abilities 
  • How to progress within your career most efficiently
  • What environment is best suited to you/ how best you might fit into any organisation
  • What additional skills may you require to get to your chosen goal

THE CAREER TRANSITION PROGRAMME

By assessing your motivation, ability and style patterns (what external influences have conditioned you) we will develop an action plan to maximise your career success.

Stage 2: Analysis and Diagnostic Feedback 

Thorough analysis of these patterns using in depth analysis, we focus on your satisfactions and dissatisfactions, successes and failures in your career to date. Together we identify the necessary steps in order for you to achieve fulfilment and realisation of your potential to achieve your career goals.

Stage 3: Clarify Your Career Options

Using your personal analysis our consultants explore the career options you have available to plot your course of action to career fulfilment and satisfaction.

Stage 4: Career Coaching and Information Support 

Your detailed step-by-step action plan is developed outlining the practical requirements needed to achieve your chosen career goals, including:

  • How and where to focus your energies, efforts and ambitions
  • Which career level best suits your experience and abilities 
  • How to progress within your career most efficiently
  • What environment is best suited to you/ how best you might fit into any organisation
  • What additional skills may you require to get to your chosen goal

From beginning to end our team support your development, and can advise on further training and additional education needs should this be required.

Stage 5: CV Development and Interview Coaching 

Using specialised CCTV coaching, you will learn the hints and tips from our experts to tackle interviews and contract negotiations with confidence. This video feedback is yours to take away, and review in the future when needed. In addition, we will redevelop your CV, including industry specific knowledge where possible, to give you the competitive edge at your next interview.

These marketing documents will be tailored to suit you and will help you to gain access and ‘win' an interview within the career sector of your choice.

Stage 6 - Interview Coaching

Stage 7 - Active Job Search & Personal Coaching

Your consultant will give you practical advice on what the next step should be, we'll advise about obtaining further information concerning any training / education needs, how to make further enquiries to explore employment opportunities and applying for jobs. We can even advise you on ways to contact potential employers and how to handle interviews. You will receive all the support and encouragement necessary to help you move forwards and begin the life you want and deserve!
